Quick question: What's cooler, a guy with a Bluetooth headset, or a Secret Service agent? If your answer was "neither," you might want to divert your eyes from Motorola's new Endeavor HX1 bone conduction Bluetooth headset. CA ISBU Research Lab receives a large number of malicious samples on a daily basis, many of which are found to be Rogue Antivirus applications belonging to the extremely prevalent malware family, Win32/FakeAV. I encountered an interesting sample of Win32/FakeAV recently, because it is not the usual Rogue Antivirus applications we come across in our labs. This time around, this variant imitates Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT), as well as promoting Microsoft Office upgrade and other trusted Antivirus products. Fake Microsoft MSRT Warnings When the installation package is executed, it will display the fake alert in the system tray as seen in Figure 01: [Figure 01 – Fake Alert System Tray] |

The public version of Safari 4 came out Monday amid all the iPhone noise at WWDC, and Apple confirmed what those who played around with the beta version already knew: Safari is now a serious browser for serious Windows users, and its position on Macs has been bolstered. You can download Safari 4 for Windows and Mac from CNET Download.com.

I've never been addicted to drugs, but watching Microsoft's seemingly never-ending drive to introduce a search engine that sticks helps me understand why the company simply can't say no.
First, the Redmond software giant's bread and butter, Windows and Office, are failing businesses. Although they're still hugely profitable, selling boxes of disc-based software is yesterday's business model. Microsoft needs to replace those revenue streams. Soon. |

What's the game about? Remember New Super Mario Bros.? Of course you do. Despite being released a full three years ago, the DS sidescroller remains a top-seller (it was the best-selling DS game in the U.S. last year, as a matter of fact), with cumulative sales somewhere in the neighborhood of 18 million. Believe it or not, that means it's sold more than even the mighty Super Mario Bros. 3 did on NES. No wonder Nintendo has decided to create a sequel. Don't be fooled by the name, though; even though the lack of a number at the end of the game's title might suggest it's simply a console port of the DS game, nothing could be further from the truth. This is a genuine sequel, with about 80 new levels, new mechanics, and best of all, four-player simultaneous action.
