Dell has announced the launch of the all-new Colour Laser Printer 1320c, its smallest ever colour laser printer.

Stylish and affordable, the 1320c offers great price/performance and quality for home and small business customers in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The 1320c is available immediately priced at just £226.

The 1320c replaces Dell’s current second-generation colour laser, the 3010cn, offering almost three times the colour print speed in a much smaller design and at a considerably lower price, while the cost per page is no higher than the previous generation product. The launch of the 1320c also completes Dell’s refresh of its entire laser product range, the oldest product in the extensive line-up now being less than 12 months old.

Whether at home or in the office, the 1320c promises print crisp, laser-sharp professional-quality colour documents quickly, quietly and easily with an impressive print speed of up to 12 A4 pages per minute (ppm) colour and 16 A4ppm monochrome. The printer is also incredibly easy to use and install, says Dell - there are only two buttons to operate the 1320c and side loading toners are simple to fit and mess-free - while a complete technology re-design has led to a product that has even higher reliability than its award-winning predecessor.

The 1320c is shipped with standard capacity toner cartridges, so once the printer is switched on you will be able to print an average of 1000 pages before needing to replace the toner. High capacity cartridges (approximately 2000 pages) are also available to provide optimum cost per page. Running costs are well below typical home or office inkjet products, while print speeds, output quality and consumables replacement intervals are higher, making this the ideal inkjet replacement product for both home office and business users.

Compact and lightweight with a footprint of 400x422mm (only a little larger than a desktop monochrome laser printer), the 1320c will fit into most workspaces whether in the home or for use as a personal office printer.

“Home offices are now a common feature in many houses,” commented David Myers, Imaging Director for Dell EMEA. “However, customers are demanding that their office equipment be stylish enough to fit into their home whilst offering the technology and performance they would expect in an office. Meanwhile, small and medium business environments increasingly expect high-performance colour printers that don’t require specialist IT staff to install and maintain: for example, if a 1320c breaks down during the warranty period, we’ll simply replace it next business day. With a small footprint, stylish industrial design and quality, reliability, and performance backed by Dell’s global services team, the new 1320c colour laser meets all these requirements.”

Many home and small office users often see little need for a networked printer at the time of purchasing that printer. However, this can change over time and as businesses and families grow, sharing the printer over a network can simplify management, save costs and reduce energy consumption. Adapting an existing personal printer for network use can be difficult and expensive, and sometimes it’s easier to buy a complete new printer. Dell’s new 1320c is different: it comes with a fast USB connection as standard enabling use as a personal printer right out of the box, while an optional low-price networking card which fits in seconds can be purchased either with the printer (for an additional £20) or after sale (priced at £39), for quick and simple upgrading at a later date. This ensures your investment is protected.

More and more people are recycling home and business waste, such as paper and plastic, but many are unsure of what to do with old or broken office equipment. Dell makes the process simple for printers. All new Dell printers and toner cartridges include full instructions on free, safe and simple disposal. When purchasing a new Dell printer, Dell will recycle your old printer free of charge regardless of manufacturer.
